Worked great at first. Then my behavior got erratic (like flooring my car to 70 mph in 25 mph zones for no reason). Started getting irritable and shaky between doses. Realized I had gotten hooked off 1 mg, 3 times a day for a month and half. Tried to get off it and doctors were next to useless. Went to ER with full-blown convulsions/muscle spasms and doctor told me it was the worst case of withdrawal he had seen in 14 years, and that I would die of a heart attack, relapse and start taking it again, or become an alcoholic. 6 years later I'm still alive, drink once or twice a week, and haven't taken any benzos since the day after my ER visit. Be safe about it, but don't listen to doctors who tell you that you have to keep taking it forever, find one who will help taper you off. Be strong, you CAN do it, and you'll be better off for it.
I was put on lorazapam about 7 yrs. ago. I take 1 mg as need,prescr. 4 x's day.I aldo use it to calm apanic attack. If I have to work 12 hr. days I take 1/2. mirical drug in my op. I get along with my teen now.... I use to have aggressive behavior, now I'm more laid back on meds.I mostly take it at work to deal with tha many teens. it workswonders on my stressful and demansing mangmnt position. I also suffer from fibromyalgia,depressing, amd I'm a thinker in a manic sort of way,ao nthis helps me shut it down and relax.... Thanks LOrazapam
This drug is effective especially when I go from 0 to 180. I have yet to find any information on taking this prescription long term as I have for 10 plus years. If anyone can steer me in the right direction I'd appreciate it. Do know that I have asked numerous medical professionals and as of yet no informative answers. I'm hoping for real facts. Thank you.
Extremely effective for relief of severe anxiety and it has given me back functioning after years of truly disabling suffering. It should always be used on an as-needed or short term basis to avoid tolerance and addiction.
