I'm 42 years old and get anxiety simptoms, couple days before my period or while my ovulation. 1/2 mg tablet really works wonders for me at that time. Only thing is you need to control yourself for not taking it , if you really do not need it. I'm taking this for last 3 years twice a month only.

Didn't do a darned thing for my insomnia. I think it (ironically) kept me awake. I guess different brains react to the same meds in different ways.

I've been on Ativan for a couple years now off and on, and only take .5mg as needed. It stops my panic attacks in their tracks and helps me calm down when I'm unreasonably nervous. I highly recommend Ativan for anxiety, but only if you take it as directed. I've seen people have seizures when withdrawing from high amounts of this drug. I have had no side effects or dependency issues.

I was prescribed Lorazepam at the emergency room, after taking only half of a 1 mg pill it gave me poking sensations around my chest and heart,so I went back to the hospital and my heart checked out okay, doctors confirmed the lorazepam caused this reaction, it does sedate pretty good, but if you care about having a healthy heart I would look for other options to medicate your anxiety.

Became addictive .. Docs never told anything that it should only be used very short term, less then two weeks! The then become addictive. Not only that, the told me nothing of side affects, nor tolerance withdrawals, nor, you need to withdraw slowly.
