Ludacris Responded to Rumors of a F&F and ‘Jurassic World’ Crossover

By | July 8, 2021

F9 star Chris ‘Ludacris’ Bridges has responded to calls by fans for a crossover between Fast & Furious and Jurassic World.

Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Tuesday (July 6), the star – who has been playing the role of Tej Parker in the Vin Diesel-led franchise since the 2003 installment 2 Fast 2 Furious – was asked by guest host Wanda Sykes if he could get behind the idea.

“That’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard in my entire life,” Ludacris said bluntly.

“I’m just going to be honest with you. Look, they surprised me in this franchise with a lot of things of how we continue to top ourselves.

“But nowhere in my right mind do I see Jurassic World and Fast & Furious coming together. Maybe they gotta convince me but I just don’t see it. That’s ludicrous. Pun intended, for sure.”

Sykes, however, reminded the rapper that in the most recent film of the franchise, his character, alongside Tyrese Gibson’s Roman, set out to disable a satellite in outer space by strapping rocket engines onto a heavily modified Pontiac Fiero and crashing into it. So dinosaurs might not be quite as impossible as Ludacris thinks.

“I’m trying to say, all these fast cars and dinosaurs together, it doesn’t make sense to me,” he continued before admitting: “But yeah, you’re right. Both of those are ludicrous. You’re 100 percent correct.”

On the Jurassic World side of things, Chris Pratt was also recently asked whether he’d be on board for the crossover and said: “Hey man, if that’s what the audience wants, I’m in.

“That sounds good. Because, you know, because if there’s one thing a T-Rex can’t F with, it’s family. Family and fast cars.”

Fast & Furious 9 is out now in US and UK theaters.
