Lorazepam Rating User Reviews 8. Before giving you any new medicine, how often did hospital staff tell you what the medicine was for? Last night i had a few drinks and took my 3 with jt. I get very bad anxiety on flights and wanted something as a back up. Is it safe for me to sleep after this situation? I hope this will help but….. And why did we use the number 5?

Ive been on Lorazepam (Ativan) for about a year. My uncle takes it, so he recommended it. I saw a doctor and he decided to give it to me, and so far it works well. I take it as needed, which is usually 2-3 times a week. At first it worked amazing, now im starting to notice its not as strong. I feel calmed, but anxiety symptoms might peek in but I feel more relaxed and dont panic as much about it when I take Ativan. .50mg, 2-3 times a week. At times in the past ive had to take it 2-3 days in a row, and I noticed I felt depressed. I doubt I can take it everyday.

been taking on and off for several years. go back and forth between this and xanax so the tolerance does build up too much. works well for me but have to take a higher dose than prescribed usually...especially to get to sleep. my mind will not stop at night! :(

to those who think this is NOT addictive, I say haha...try running out of the stuff for a few days & see how you feel. I rely on a mail-order service for my prescriptions & my Ativan refill was "lost in the mail" for a week. During the dreadful cold turkey stage I gradually got numb & trembling extremities and trembling lower jaw. I was convinced I had Lou Gehrigs Disease; I was convinced that if I got in my car to go to the ER I would get in an accident & die also. Finally called a friend to take me to ER where they gave me a shot of Ativan & a temporary supply to last until my refill arrived. It doesn't help my anxiety at all but I can't stop taking it due to the horrible withdrawl side effects.

Ativan has a troublesome history of abuse and ignorance associated with it. People expecting some magical pill to solve all their problems on a daily basis, following the advise of a doctor rather than there own body. I lead a stressful life and sometimes there's no amount of relaxing watching movies etc to get my body to calm down. I always want to get up and run workout etc. If used properly it's a lifesaving medication for me, losing my hair from stress Gilberts syndrome etc finally I am able to enjoy my life again enjoy movies etc. Used properly it's a tool I wish to have at my touch at all times available. Responsibility and moderation to all.

I have been taking lorazepam for the last 8 years. I take 2mg 3x daily. It really helps with my severe anxiety. I agree that it is addictive. I started out on this high dose but absolutely cannot cut back without panic attaks returning. And if I forget to take a pill, I'm sick to my stomach, headache, and ears ringing within 30 minutes of not taking it. Doctors have tried 4 times unsuccessfully to switch me to Klonipin. For some reason, I just can't tolerate it. This medicine also makes me a little sleepy. But without it, I would never go into public again. So for me it has been a lifesaver and I don't care if I have to take it forever.
